Routing algorithms determine the path that data takes between source and destination, and congestion control mechanisms aim to optimize network performance and prevent congestion. Security protocols, such as SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security),are used to protect data from unauthorized access and interception.
